Karibari is a panel used to flatten the works of art on paper.II consists initially of a lay of light wood with straight grain like cedar, covered in a special way, with no less than seven layers of papers such as the Hosokawa (items B101-W31, B101-W32, B101-W33). The final surface is waterproofed with several coats of shibu (persimmon juice fermented, see art. B701-KAK1 and B701-KAK2).
The size of the board varies according to needs. It has approximately 120 × 90 cms as traditional size, thickness 2cm.
