K031 –FW 3.1 mm
Corrugated board made from ageing-resistant board material, total thickness 3.1 mm, natural white in colour. Top ply laminated with either 130 gsm light grey (048) or grey-blue (047) archival paper or with 300 gsm grey-blue archival board 047 (03147107), surface specially treated: dirt-resistant, erasable and rub-proof (dry wiping). The individual plies are glued moisture-proof (wet-strengthened) and ageing resistant in accordance with ISO 9706. This corrugated board quality is the basic material used for making archival boxes, files, folders and is also ideal as frame backings for conservation quality picture framing.
Base paper
• 100 % bleached cellulose
• Without the usage of recycling fibres
• Free of wooden fibres
• Kappa level 1 - 2 = lignin-free
• pH 7.5 - 10.0 = acid-free (in accordance with ISO 6588-1:2005)
• Alkaline buffer > 2 % natural calcium carbonate (GCC)
• Sizing: neutral/synthetic (without alum additive)
• Top surface sizing: Cobb60 in accordance with ISO 535 < 25
• Without optical brightening agents (OBA-free)
• Lightfastness 7 - 8 (= extremely good) in accordance with the wool scale (ISO 12040:1998) – grey-blue
• Lightfastness 5 - 6 (good - very good) in accordance with the wool scale (ISO 12040:1998) – light grey
• No bleeding in accordance with DIN ISO 16245:2012
• Special surface strengthening (dirt resistant and erasable)
• Photographic Activity Test (PAT) passed in accordance with ISO 18916:2007
Glue used for the corrugated board
• Starch-based adhesive • pH > 8.0
• Moisture-proof gumming
Glue used for lamination
• Dispersion glue free of solvents and plasticizers (softening agents)
• pH approx. 7.0
• Photographic Activity Test (PAT) passed in accordance with ISO 18916:2007

“Dimension A“ defines the flute length (A = 100 / 180 cm)
“Dimension B“ defines the cut-off length (B = 172 / 245* cm)
Synatx A x B cm = 100 x 172 cm, 110 x 172 cm and 180 x 245 cm
The syntax is also applicable for the paper grain direction. All the three and four* plies of paper are cut long grain
