K021 –MW 1.7 mm
Corrugated board made from ageing resistant material, total thickness 1.7 mm, natural white in colour. Top ply made from grey-blue archival board, 300 gsm, surface with special treatment, dirt-resistant, erasable and rub-proof (dry wiping). The individual board plies are glued moisture-proof and the board is ageing resistant in accordance with ISO 9706. This corrugated board quality is the base material used for making archival boxes, files, folders and is also suitable for conservation quality frame backings.
Base paper
• 100 % bleached cellulose
• Without the usage of recycling fibres
• Free of wooden fibres
• Kappa level 1 - 2 = lignin-free
• pH 7.5 - 10.0 = acid-free (in accordance with ISO 6588-1:2005)
• Alkaline buffer > 2 % natural calcium carbonate (GCC)
• Sizing: neutral/synthetic (without alum additive)
• Top surface sizing: Cobb60 in accordance with ISO 535 < 25
• Without optical brightening agents (OBA-free)
• Lightfastness approx. 7 - 8 (= extremely good) in accordance with the wool scale (EN ISO 105-B02)
• No bleeding in accordance with DIN ISO 16245:2012
• Photographic Activity Test (PAT) passed in accordance with ISO 18916:2007
• Special surface strengthening (dirt-resistant and erasable)
Glue used for the corrugated board
• Starch-based adhesive • pH > 8.0
• Moisture-proof gumming

Basic board material used for making folders and storage boxes for archiving purposes as well as for conservation quality picture framing (mounts and backings).
Top surface with special surface treatment, dirt-resistant, erasable and rub- proof (dry wiping). The board possesses excellent flatness, can be cut easily using any commercial cutter.

Items K021-147 and K021-109 Top ply grey-blue ; base natural white “Dimension A“ defines the flute length (A = 100 / 180 cm)
“Dimension B“ defines the cut-off length (B = 172 / 245 cm)
Syntax A x B cm = 100 x 172 cm and 180 x 245 cm
The syntax is also applicable for the paper grain direction. All the three plies of paper are cut long grain.
